NEW POWERFUL ZONE 1 PUMPS READY FOR OFFSHORE OIL AND GAS SERVICES
Intergroup’s offshore oil and gas services delivery has been boosted recently with the addition of two powerful new pump units, both of which are Zone 1 rated for operations in highly hazardous areas.
The pumps will be used to power a wide range of activities including Ultra High Pressure (UHP) water jetting, low-pressure water blasting, for paint removal, wash down or tank cleaning. Being able to use UHP in hazardous areas will bring significant performance and outcome benefits for offshore oil facility operators.
The Hammelmann pump is a Zone 1/Zone 2 T3 rated high pressure pump able to operate at UHP or LP. Containerised and designed for use in highly hazardous areas the Hammelmann can operate anywhere on a vessel or oil rig, and in onshore oil and gas facilities, rather than being confined to safe zones.
Like the Hammelmann, the Woma pump is a Zone 1 certified industrial pump unit. Specially designed and built for offshore tank cleaning, the Woma is capable of delivering 4000psi and 25 l/min. With a built-in offshore lifting frame, the Woma is highly portable as well as powerful and able to operate in hazardous areas.
The new pumps will be deployed soon to Intergroup worksites on offshore oil facilities in New Plymouth.
Intergroup has fully qualified offshore operators trained and ready to put the Hammelmann and Woma pumps into action. All staff deployed to the offshore facilities are certified and accredited fully to the standard required for the multi-hazard wok environment and the hazardous nature of the work they’re required to carry out. This includes BOSIET, UKOOA medical certification, UHP operator ticketed, and confined space and working at heights certification.
