Sustainable Liquid Waste Management

InterGroup’s environmental services involve the whole nine yards of responsible waste management – solid or liquid. We believe in the 3 R’s: Recovery, Recycling and Re-Using – meaning we are actively looking into re-using different kinds of waste as a commodity. As experts in the subject, we are focused on reducing our environmental footprint by improving our sustainability through waste management across our services and by being environmentally aware in our everyday activities.

Waste which is predominately organic in nature such as:

Grease trap waste: A mixture of fats, oils, grease and solid food particles that are filtered out of kitchen wastewater by a grease trap device.

Organic pesticides: Substances derived from natural sources that are used to control pests on crops or gardens.

Interceptors: Devices that separate oil, fuel, sediment and other contaminants from stormwater runoff before it enters the sewer system.

Food Waste: Waste produced as a byproduct of food manufacturing process.

Hydro excavation waste is a slurry of soil and water that is removed from the ground by pressurised water and vacuum. It can be dewatered and recycled by using equipment that separates the solid and liquid components. This reduces the volume of waste and the environmental impact.

Packaged chemical waste is any hazardous substance that is stored in containers such as 20litre containers, drums or IBCs. It may include expired, damaged or contaminated products, industrial waste, lab chemicals, fuels or residues. It requires safe and compliant handling, transportation and disposal.

Bulk hazardous waste is waste that contains or is likely to contain hazardous substances toxics or corrosives. Examples of bulk hazardous waste are acid, alkali, oil, fuel, contaminated soil.

InterGroup provide sustainable infrastructure waste cleaning and recycling services. Waste such as road sweepings and cesspit cleaning waste can be cleaned and sorted into useful products extracted for reuse, such as aggregate. This process significantly reduces waste to landfill, contributes to city cleaning and provides net carbon reduction.
